I have tried deleting everything on the page, saving the document, closing it, reopening it, and re-typing everything that had been on the page, only for it to still be page 2, and everything else that I can think of and that has been suggested on these been tested and also work with Word 2016 for Windows and Mac. Regardless of what I do, that 2 does not become the number that it ought to be (which is 8). The problem I am experiencing is this: The page numbers in a particular section (section 9) follow this sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 2. All of the headers, footers, and sections are formatted the same way. The pagination is good in nearly all of the sections, except one.
I have a book created with a section break between each chapter.
